Expense Payment and Administration

• Proactive Policy ConsultingWe track the areas where we can proactively advise you, including establishing budgets and tracking costs to that budget.
• Individual and Company CalculationsWe calculate individual relocation budgets for each move based on information received from our consultant\'s initial call to the relocating employee.

• Home Country Departure ServicesBrookfield GRS provides home sale assistance in countries where it is legally acceptable and feasible and advises its clients on the best approach within each country. Our service can consist of full home buyout, home marketing services and closing services, any or all of which may be applicable to a specific employee or country circumstance.
• Property ManagementBrookfield GRS arranges both vacant and tenant-occupied property management services for those homes not being sold by a relocating employee, obtaining two rental market analyses on each property. This allows for proper pricing and assists in implementing client policy with respect to rental value or operating cost guarantees.

International Assignment Compensation Services

• Cost ProjectionsBrookfield GRS will prepare a cost projection based on information provided by the client per client policy. The cost projection calculation provides an estimated total cost of an assignment given the specific compensation profile of an assignee and related assignment entitlements based on the client’s expatriate program. The spreadsheet format facilitates detailed analysis of the individual elements.
• Balance SheetBrookfield GRS will prepare the initial balance sheet which includes allowances per the assignment letter, i.e. Cost of Living, Housing Allowance, Hypothetical Tax, Monthly Housing, etc., to control and manage recurring payroll during the assignment period; manage changes and updates to balance sheet, as agreed per client policy.
• Compensation Administration and Payroll CoordinationBrookfield GRS will work closely with your payroll department and payroll agents globally for managing your assignees’ international compensation.
• Year End Compensation AccumulationBrookfield GRS will gather and track non-payroll expenses paid in home and host locations, and prepare home and/or host country year end compensation summaries and supply to the client tax advisors for income tax return preparation.

Host Country Destination Services

• Home Finding and Rental AssistanceThrough pre-departure discussions with the employee and family and the detailed needs assessment, we prepare a customized program for the family's home finding trip. The Destination Service Provider has a wide network of reliable real estate agents that research the market and develop a targeted list of rental properties so the family views only those properties matching their requirements.
• Settling-In Services and Area OrientationOnce the family has made the move, the destination consultant provides a variety of services, including an area tour, assistance with such details as opening bank accounts, obtaining tax identification (or other country-specific registration), obtaining driver's licenses and car insurance and discussion of security issues, essentially provide guidance on learning how to get things done in the new country to familiarize your employee and family with their new location.
• Tenancy ManagementOur Tenancy Management program is globally consistent and available around the world. We study the lease and/or inventory prepared at check-in, noting the tenant's responsibilities and property condition on move-in day. Brookfield GRS representatives in each country will visit the property, at check-in and checkout, to assess a fair dilapidation/move out bill.
