Mobilizing our Workforce for Good

BGRS recognizes the power of giving back. Through our more than 1,500 employees, our global supplier network, and in partnership with clients around the world, we strive to make a positive difference for the communities where we work and live. Our integrated approach to giving provides corporate financial and volunteerism support to important causes around the world and provides flexibility and personal empowerment to our employees who dedicate their time to philanthropic endeavors.

Our Collective Impact

Our global employees collaborate at a regional level to select organizations that best represent their preferred cause. They then design coordinated giving and fundraising efforts to make a meaningful impact.

Move for Hunger

For more than five years, BGRS has provided support to Move for Hunger, a non-profit that collects unwanted, non-perishable food items from people who are moving and distributes it to local food banks throughout North America.  Since we began our commitment to Move for Hunger, our employees and supplier partners have gathered more than 486,000 pounds of food, providing 405,000 meals for those in need.

In addition, our teams have organized office collections and led fundraising efforts for Move for Hunger resulting in more than $85,000 donated to their cause. The tie between BGRS and Move for Hunger couldn’t be stronger and the mission more important.

Care Community Services

The BGRS Singapore team has organized and hosted several events for Care Community Services (CCSS), an organization that designs and implements programs that provide well-being services and education to those in need, along with the tools necessary for those they impact to pay it forward. In addition to volunteering time, our team in Singapore has hosted various events for the children and elderly individuals CCSS supports, raising more than $6,000SGD.

The Alzheimer’s Society

Our London team chooses a new cause to support on an annual basis in order to extend their impact across important causes. For 2015 the team selected The Alzheimer’s Society, which focuses on generating awareness about, and research funding for, finding a cure for dementia. The team has organized several events, successfully raising support for the organization.

Collaborating for a Cause

Our employees are empowered by a shared commitment to the urgent needs of their communities. Volunteerism among our global employees not only makes a difference, it creates an opportunity for strengthening our culture and our relationships with each other.

This year alone, our employees have:

  • Formed teams to provide food preparation and meal services support to families at Ronald McDonald House Charities
  • Raised funds to support Casa de Beneficios Alcides Prestes, a home for the elderly in Sao Paulo
  • Collected toiletry and important health items to create amenity bags provided to victims of sexual assault in South Africa
  • Stretched and sprinted as a team, participating in various marathons and charity runs to raise funds for Move for Hunger and AgeUK
